Twenty. Wouldn't Have Missed It.

Dear #1,

My beautiful, beautiful, girl. Things haven't always been perfect between us, have they? It's not easy raising a teenage girl alone, and it's not easy being a teenage daughter, and the oldest, with a single Mom who relies on you too much. But we made it, didn't we?

Did we ever! Look at us now........two unbelievable husbands and nothing but bright, wonderful futures.

This picture is you in a nutshell. Everyone who knows you loves you. You have been gone from our Ward for two years. TWO YEARS! And people still come up to me with their favorite #1 stories. You will never know how proud I am of the person you have become......... Maybe in twenty years you will know.

I have one more thing to say to you today, on your birthday. This song was written for you and me, years before you were born. I wonder how they knew?

Our path's may never cross again (ok, the one line that doesn't work)
Maybe my heart will never mend
But I'm glad for all the good times
Cause you've brought me so much sunshine
And love was the best its ever been.

I wouldn't have missed it for the world
Wouldn't have missed loving you girl
You've made my whole life worthwhile, with your smile
I wouldn't trade one memory
Cause they mean too much to me
Even though I lost you girl
I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

They say that all good things must end
Love comes and goes just like the wind
You've got your dreams to follow
But if I had the chance tomorrow
YOU KNOW I'D DO IT ALL AGAIN.

I wouldn't have missed it for the world
Wouldn't have missed loving you girl
You've made my whole life worthwhile, with your smile
I wouldn't trade one memory
Cause they mean too much to me
Even though I lost you girl
I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Happy Birthday Beautiful.

Love,

Mom

  3. #1 is her Grandma Annie's very first Grand Angel. When she was little she could say very clearly, "I am my Grandma Annie's little JA Angel." She is astute, funny, thoughtful, and has one of the biggest hearts known to man. Funny isn't it how history repeats itself? I am her mother's mother and I LOVE MY GIRLS.
