Magic Does Gymnastics.

 After a little over a year of gymnastics.

And being moved to the pre-team and then up two levels

and then to the team.

 

Magic , aka 5, had her very first real, live meet!!

As a competitive gymnast!!

 

She was super nervous.

Super duper nervous.

 

She is only 6.  And, as you can see, the littlest gymnast.

This is all of her level 2 team.  You can't see, but there are about 20 of them.

 

And they were competing against 5 other gyms, too.

That's a lot of level 2's.

 

And did Magic win any medals?

She totally did.

 

She placed on Beam, Floor, and All-Around.

 

And for those of you who don't know about gymnastics,

If you are scoring 9's, you should be in the next level.

 

So those 2 high 8's?  For a 6 year old's VERY first meet ever?

Completely Awesome.

Because she is for reals worried that we will forget Halloween.

 

Dear 5:

Watching you compete and overcome your fears

was about the best thing I've ever seen.

 

The happiness on your face when you pulled

that lever back in on the beam?  It was priceless.

 

And the unbridled joy when they called your name and

you got to stand on the awards podium?

 

It made all my dreams for you come true.

 

I love you so much.
