I am 4- And This Was My Tubular 80's Birthday Party!

And my month, the month of 4,
went out with a bang!
In the form of a Fer Sure Like Totally Excellent 80's Birthday Party.
In case you didn't know, here are a few pointers on how to throw such a rad affair:

1. Invite every single Material Girl you know. And some boys.
Your mother will hope they don't all show up.
(They almost all showed up) (!).

2. Get lots of neon decorations. Throw in some black and white balloons.
3. Dress in your 80's best. Rat your hair until it is 5 times it's normal size. Spray about 3/4 of a bottle of hairspray on your hair. Invite your friends to all do the same.

4. Have a totally rad craft, like making pet rocks. Have bright neon fluffy things and arms and legs and eyes to glue onto your pet rock.
5. While the pet rocks are drying, admire the neon frosted cupcakes that will be devoured later by all of the party guests. Play a rousing game of pin-the-glove-on-Michael Jackson
(see The King in the background. My Mom's BIGGEST regret is not getting a better picture of the King of Pop for this post.) (Sniff).
6. Play some good-old fashioned games, like the bubble-gum relay race and the sponge relay race. And tag. My Mom says that back in the 80's, kids went outside and played with each other after school. Honestly! Just ask Cha Cha, she will totally back this unbelievable statement up.
7. Have a disco ball pinata. I think this statement stands alone and needs no further embellishment.
8. Have a moonwalk contest while blaring "Billie Jean" as loudly as possible on your CD player. Award the winner (the Excellent Evie) the blown-up, 4' guitar trophy.
9. Have your friends gather round closely while you open your presents and oooh and aaah over every single one. Giggle to yourself inside your head at all of the loot you scored.

10. But, the most important thing. The VERY most important thing, is to have 80's music playing in the background as loud as possible. And dancing. Lots of 80's dancing.

What is the most excellent 80's song you ask? It goes a little something like this:

Dream of better lives the kind which never hates,
Trapped in the state of imaginary grace.
I made a pilgrimage to save this human race,
Never comprehending the race has long gone bye.

I'll stop the World and melt with you,
You've seen the difference and it's getting better, all the time.
There's nothing you and I won't do,
I'll stop the World and melt with you....
-Modern English
also featured on the soundtrack of the best 80's movie in the history of the 80's......Valley Girl.

And if you don't agree with this opinion I say to you this:

How. Dare. You.
Anyway, we got a little off track there. That is how an 80's party is done. Email me and I will totally help you with yours.
Hugs,
4
