Christmas Checklist Six. Him turned One. My Baby is One.

December 13th.  A day I knew would come but what I didn't know is that he would still be here with us.  And here he is.

The last court date went perfectly.  Just as we had hoped it would.  We have one more big court date in early January, and if it goes as expected, he is ours.

All ours.

I can't wait for you to see his face.

His giant eyes.

He is perfect.

And now he is one.

We celebrated all of the December family birthdays.  Baby, Aunt April, Joah (who could not be convinced to be in my picture.  Not. Interested. Thankyouverymuch.) and J2.  She was at volleyball.  She lives at volleyball.  It was a great night.

 It was the best night.
If you are praying for us and for Baby, please keep praying.

The prayers are working!!

I promise that the situation he came from is not any better than it was when he was born... and it is no way for a baby to live.  And I want you to know that I pray for and wish the best for his birth mom and I really hope that she gets better someday soon. And I am eternally grateful that she had this baby.  So grateful.

But this baby belongs in our family.

So thank you, thank you, thank you for your prayers.

Dear Baby:

Happy Birthday!  I hope someday you know what you mean to me.  What you mean to all of us.....you have been such a blessing to our family.  You are everything happy and good.

And you are now officially one year closer to strapping on those pads and trying out for quarterback.  Don't worry, you will be ready.

Love Forever,
Mommy

  1. My sweet daughter - I couldn't be happier for you and Hughes! I do pray everyday that this little angel will be ours legally very soon. He is already ours in our hearts and minds. Give him a big hug and kiss from Grandma.
