From the day she was little, we thought she would be a Trojan.
A Taylor Trojan,
then a Mesa Jackrabbit.
But moving to The Farm changed all that. And she isn't going to be a Trojan after all.
She will be a Payne Panther
She will be a Payne Panther
And she is proud to be a Payne Panther.
And in a few years,
A Perry Puma.
It's still weird.
Me, and my brothers and my cousins
and my in-laws and all my friends.
We were all Trojans and then Jackrabbits.
Even 1.
Even 2.
But not 3.
And not 4.
Nor A and B.
They will be Panthers and Pumas.
And even though it feels weird and like it's not real.
It is real and it is where we are supposed to be.
So Panthers it is.
On Monday.
A Panther she will be.
Dear 3:
Even though you are starting Jr. High on Monday,
please still hold my hand,
please still put your head on my shoulder,
please still giggle uncontrollably with me.
Please.
I will love you forever.
xoxo,
Mom
